If you are driving from the town of Fossil, OR, head east on Highway 218 for approximately 30 miles. You will pass through beautiful landscapes until you reach the intersection with Highway 97. Turn left (north) on Highway 97 and continue for about 9 miles. Look for signs directing you to Cottonwood Canyon State Park. Turn right onto Cottonwood Canyon Road and follow it until you reach the park entrance.

From the city of Wasco, OR, head east on 1st Street towards Highway 97. Continue on Highway 97 for about 6 miles until you see signs for Cottonwood Canyon State Park. Take the exit for Cottonwood Canyon Road and turn left; follow the road until you reach the park entrance.
