Getting There

Car
From Khunjerab Pass, head south on the N-35 (Karakoram Highway) towards Gilgit. After approximately 30 kilometers, you will reach the turn-off for Astore. Take the road towards Astore District and continue for about 70 kilometers. Follow the signs for Deosai National Park. Keep in mind that the road may be rough in some areas, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. The total journey is approximately 100 kilometers and may take around 3-4 hours depending on road conditions.

Public Transportation
From Khunjerab Pass, you can take a shared van or taxi to Gilgit. The fare is usually around PKR 500-1000 per person. The journey takes about 2-3 hours. Upon reaching Gilgit, you can find shared vans heading towards Astore. The fare for the Astore trip is around PKR 300-500 per person, and it will take approximately 4-5 hours. Once in Astore, you can hire a local jeep to take you into Deosai National Park, which will cost around PKR 2000-3000 for the round trip.
