Car
If you are driving from Madang, take the Highlands Highway (also known as the Main Road) towards Goroka. After approximately 2.5 hours, turn left onto the Chimbu Highway towards Chimbu Province. Continue on this road for about 30 minutes until you reach Awakane. Once you arrive in Awakane, follow local signage to Koro Headwaters Nature Park, which is about 15 minutes from the main road. Be prepared for some unsealed roads, so a 4WD vehicle is recommended.

To reach Koro Headwaters Nature Park via public transportation, take a bus from Madang to Goroka. The journey takes about 3-4 hours. Once in Goroka, transfer to a minibus heading towards Chimbu Province; these minibuses frequently depart from the Goroka bus terminal. After about 1 hour, get off at Awakane. From there, you can either walk or hire a local taxi to take you the remaining 15 minutes to Koro Headwaters Nature Park.
