To reach Waghi Valley from Madang, start by heading west on the Highlands Highway (also known as the Magi Highway) from Madang. At the junction, continue on the Highlands Highway toward Jiwaka Province for another hour. Once you approach TSimil Wahgi, look for signs directing you to Waghi Valley. You may need to pay a small fee for tolls or road usage along the highway. Make sure to check the vehicle condition and fuel levels before starting your journey, as fuel stations are sparse along the route.

If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Madang to Goroka. Buses leave regularly from Madang's bus terminal. The journey to Goroka takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. Once in Goroka, you can catch another bus that heads toward Jiwaka Province. Confirm with the driver that the bus will stop at TSimil Wahgi. The total cost for the bus from Madang to Goroka may range from 20 to 40 Kina, and from Goroka to TSimil Wahgi, expect to pay an additional 15 to 30 Kina. Be prepared for possible delays and ensure to check the bus schedules in advance.
