From your location in Allegheny National Forest, head southeast on local roads toward US-219 S. Follow US-219 S for approximately 30 miles until you reach the exit for I-99 S toward Altoona. Merge onto I-99 S and continue for about 14 miles. Take exit 41 for US-22 E toward Harrisburg. After about 4 miles, take exit 1 toward Gallitzin. At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto Federal Park Rd, and the Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site will be on your right at 110 Federal Park Rd, Gallitzin, PA 16641.
