Getting There

Walking
Start from the South Side area, particularly from the South Side Works, a popular shopping and dining area. Head west on East Carson Street until you reach the intersection with 18th Street. Turn left onto 18th Street and continue walking until you reach the base of the incline. The incline is called the Duquesne Incline. You can take the incline up to Mount Washington, which costs $5 for a round trip. Once at the top, enjoy the stunning views of the city.

Public Transit
From South Side, you can also take the bus. Board the Port Authority bus 48 (it runs frequently) from the South Side and take it to the stop at the intersection of E. Carson and 18th St. From there, transfer to bus 26 towards Crafton and get off at the stop near Marlow St. This bus fare is $2.75. After getting off, walk a short distance to Marlow St, where the entrance to West End Overlook Park is located.

Walking from Mount Washington
If you are at the top of Mount Washington after using the Duquesne Incline, exit the incline station and walk towards the overlook park area. Head west on Grandview Ave, and then take a left onto Marlow St. Walk down Marlow St until you reach the entrance to West End Overlook Park. This final stretch is approximately half a mile and provides beautiful views along the way.
