Travel Guide to Ganoga Waterfall

Getting There

• Walking

  If you're already in Ricketts Glen State Park, park your vehicle at the main parking area near the park entrance. From there, follow the well-marked trails leading to Ganoga Waterfall. The most popular route is via the Ganoga Glen Trail, which is approximately a 1.5-mile hike one way. You'll start at the parking area and look for trail signs pointing towards Ganoga Waterfall. The trail is steep in some sections, so be prepared for a moderate hike. Along the way, enjoy the scenic views and various smaller waterfalls. After reaching Ganoga Waterfall, take time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings before retracing your steps back to the parking area.

• Biking

  For those who prefer biking, you can ride on the park's designated roads and trails. Start from the main parking area and cycle along the road towards the Ganoga Glen Trailhead. Please note that biking is allowed on certain sections of the park, but the trails to Ganoga Waterfall are primarily for hiking. Make sure to secure your bike at the trailhead before starting your hike to the waterfall.

• Public Transportation

  If you're relying on public transportation, check for local bus services that may run to nearby towns such as Sweet Valley or Benton. However, note that there may be limited service directly to Ricketts Glen State Park. From the nearest bus stop, you would need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to get to the park entrance. Once at the park, follow the hiking directions provided above to reach Ganoga Waterfall.
