Getting There

• Walking

  If you are staying in Basco, start at the Basco Lighthouse. Head south on Airport Road towards the Mahatao town. The walk is approximately 10 kilometers, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes. After about 1.5 to 2 hours of walking, you will reach Mahatao. Once in Mahatao, ask locals for directions to the Chawa View Deck, which is well-known. From the town center, walk towards the coast, and follow the signs or ask for 'Chawa View Deck'. It is about a 15-minute walk from the center of Mahatao.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Basco. Start at the Basco Lighthouse and take the same route towards Mahatao. The ride will take around 30 to 40 minutes. Upon arriving in Mahatao, park your bicycle safely and walk towards the coast. Follow the signs or inquire with locals for the Chawa View Deck, which is only about a 15-minute walk from the town center.
