Paradise Found: El Nido Beach

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Puerto Princesa City, take the National Highway (AH26) heading north. Continue for approximately 250 kilometers until you reach El Nido. The drive will take about 5-6 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Upon entering El Nido, follow the signs leading to the town proper. You can park your car at designated parking areas near El Nido Beach.

• Bus

  To travel by bus, head to the San Jose Terminal in Puerto Princesa City. Look for a bus company that offers direct routes to El Nido, such as RORO or Lexxus Shuttle. The bus ride will take approximately 6-7 hours and costs around PHP 500-700. Make sure to check the schedule ahead of time as buses typically leave in the morning and early afternoon. Once you arrive in El Nido, you can walk to El Nido Beach, which is approximately 10 minutes away from the bus terminal.

• Van

  For a quicker option, you can take a van service from Puerto Princesa to El Nido. Vans leave from the same San Jose Terminal or from designated van terminals in Puerto Princesa. The journey takes about 4-5 hours and costs approximately PHP 600-800. Ensure that you arrive early as vans fill up quickly. Upon arrival in El Nido, the drop-off point is usually near the town center, from where you can walk to El Nido Beach in about 10 minutes.

• Tricycle

  Once you arrive in El Nido, you can use tricycles for short distances. If you need to get directly to El Nido Beach from the bus or van terminal, simply hail a tricycle, which will cost around PHP 20-50 depending on your exact drop-off point. It's a convenient way to navigate the small town.
