Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Sagada, head towards the Sagada Municipal Hall. Once you reach the Municipal Hall, continue walking straight until you reach the main road. Turn left at the main road, and keep walking for about 15 minutes. You will see signs indicating the direction to the Sagada Underground River. Follow the signs, and take the path that leads you through the forest. The walk may take around 30 minutes through the scenic trail, so be prepared for a bit of hiking.

• Hiking

  If you wish to take the more adventurous route, from the Sagada Municipal Hall, take the trail that leads to the Hanging Coffins. After visiting the Hanging Coffins, continue the trail that goes downhill. This path will eventually lead you towards the Sagada Underground River. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry water, as this route involves some steep sections and can take approximately 1 hour.
