Travel Guide to Museum in Gliwice - the Piast Castle

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Gliwice Main Train Station (Dworzec Główny), exit the station and head southwest on Dworcowa Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Zwycięstwa Street. Turn left onto Zwycięstwa Street and walk for about 800 meters. You will pass several shops and cafes. When you reach the large roundabout (Rondo Złotej Jesieni), continue straight and take the third exit onto Nowy Świat Street. After about 500 meters, turn right onto Pod Murami Street. The Piast Castle will be on your left, at Pod Murami 2.

• Public Transport

  From the Gliwice Main Train Station, take tram line 1 or 2 in the direction of the city center. Get off at the stop 'Dworcowa'. From there, walk straight along Dworcowa Street until it merges into Zwycięstwa Street. Turn left at the intersection and continue for about 800 meters. When you reach the large roundabout, take the third exit onto Nowy Świat Street. After about 500 meters, turn right onto Pod Murami Street, and the Piast Castle will be on your left at Pod Murami 2.

• Bicycle

  If you have a bicycle, you can rent one from a local bike rental shop. Start from the Gliwice Main Train Station and head southwest on Dworcowa Street. Continue onto Zwycięstwa Street for about 800 meters, then when you reach the roundabout, take the third exit onto Nowy Świat Street. After cycling for another 500 meters, turn right onto Pod Murami Street. The Piast Castle will be on your left at Pod Murami 2. Be sure to follow local biking rules and use bike lanes where available.
