Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the town of Giżycko, which is about 40 kilometers away from Reszel Castle. Take the DK63 road heading south towards Kętrzyn. Continue on DK63 until you reach the junction with DK59. Turn left onto DK59 and follow the signs for Reszel. After approximately 20 kilometers, you will enter the town of Reszel. Follow the signs to Podzamcze street, where Reszel Castle is located at Podzamcze 3. There is parking available near the castle, but be prepared for a small parking fee, generally around 5 PLN per hour.

Bus
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Olsztyn to Reszel. Buses run regularly from Olsztyn’s main bus station. You will need to purchase a ticket before boarding, which costs approximately 15 PLN. The journey takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at the Reszel bus station, it is a short 10-minute walk to Reszel Castle. Head southeast on ul. Leśna, then turn right onto ul. Podzamcze, following the signs to the castle.

If you are near Mrągowo, you can take a train to Kętrzyn. From Kętrzyn railway station, transfer to a local bus that goes to Reszel. The train ticket costs approximately 20 PLN, and the bus fare is around 5 PLN. After disembarking at the local bus stop in Reszel, walk about 15 minutes to reach Reszel Castle. Head south on ul. Kalinowa, then turn left onto ul. Podzamcze.
