The Great Krokiew: A Thrilling Experience in Zakopane

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the center of Zakopane, walk towards Krupówki Street, which is the main pedestrian street and is easily recognizable. From Krupówki, head towards the western end of the street, and you will see a large intersection. Cross the intersection and continue straight on ul. Kościeliska. Follow this road until you reach the Tatra National Park entrance. From there, take a right onto ul. Bronisława Czecha. The Great Krokiew will be on your left-hand side, approximately 10-15 minutes from the intersection.

• Public Transport

  You can take a local bus from the main bus station in Zakopane. Look for bus number 11 or 20, which goes to the area near The Great Krokiew. Board the bus and ride for about 10 minutes until you reach the stop called 'Krokiew'. Once you get off, walk back a few meters, and you will see The Great Krokiew directly ahead. Buses run frequently, so check the schedule for times.

• Taxi or Ride-share

  If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi or use a ride-sharing app. Simply input 'The Great Krokiew, ul. Bronisława Czecha 1' as your destination. Most drivers will know this popular tourist spot. The ride from the town center should take around 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic.
