The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Gerês bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 15 minutes to reach Barragem de Vilarinho das Furnas. Head east on Rua 1º de Maio, then turn left onto N308. Follow N308 until you see signs for Barragem de Vilarinho das Furnas.

Take a train from Braga to the nearest train station, which is in the town of Nine. The train ride takes about 15-20 minutes. From Nine, you will need to take a local bus or taxi to reach Barragem de Vilarinho das Furnas. If bus schedules allow, catch a bus heading towards Gerês or directly to Vilarinho das Furnas, which could take an additional 30-45 minutes.
