Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the center of Évora, start at Praça do Giraldo. Head east on Rua de Afonso III until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Avenida de Lisboa. Continue straight until you reach a bus stop called 'Igreja de Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe'. From there, you can take bus number 5 towards Nossa Sra. de Guadalupe. Make sure to check the bus schedule as it may vary. After about 15-20 minutes, you will get off at the stop near HW5Q+2G2, which is the Almendres Cromlech. From the bus stop, walk a short distance northeast to reach the site.

• Biking

  For a biking option, you can rent a bike in Évora. Start at the main square, Praça do Giraldo, and head east on Rua de Afonso III. Follow the same route as if walking to the roundabout where Avenida de Lisboa is located. Turn right and continue straight. The ride to Almendres Cromlech is approximately 5 km and should take about 20-30 minutes. Follow the bike lanes and keep an eye out for signs indicating the direction to Nossa Sra. de Guadalupe. Once you reach the site, you can park your bike at the designated area.

• Public Transport

  From the heart of Évora, go to the bus terminal located near the train station. Look for the bus that goes to 'Nossa Sra. de Guadalupe'. The journey should take approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach the stop near HW5Q+2G2, which is the closest stop to Almendres Cromlech, disembark and walk a short distance to the site. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time to ensure you have the correct departure times.
