Getting There

• Walking

  From the Faro city center, start at the Cathedral of Faro (Catedral de Faro) located at Praça da República. Head south on Rua da Misericórdia until you reach the intersection with Rua de Portugal. Turn left onto Rua de Portugal and continue straight until you reach the waterfront. Once you reach the waterfront, continue along the promenade (Avenida 5 de Outubro) to enjoy the beautiful views of the marina. Keep walking until you see the signs for Ria Formosa. Follow the signs leading you to R. Cmte. Francisco Manuel, where Mirador Ria Formosa is located.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  From the Faro city center, walk to the main bus terminal, Terminal Rodoviário de Faro, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the Cathedral of Faro. At the bus terminal, catch the bus that goes towards the Ria Formosa area. Make sure to ask the driver for the stop closest to R. Cmte. Francisco Manuel. After getting off the bus, walk towards the direction of the waterfront and follow the signs for Mirador Ria Formosa, which should be a short walk from the bus stop.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you prefer to bike, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Faro. Start from the city center and head towards the waterfront on Avenida 5 de Outubro. Continue cycling along the promenade, enjoying the views of the marina and the Ria Formosa. Follow the path that leads to R. Cmte. Francisco Manuel, where you will find the Mirador Ria Formosa. There are bike racks available for parking your bicycle when you arrive.
