From the city center of Faro, head towards Rua de Portugal and walk straight until you reach the roundabout at the end. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenida da República. Continue walking straight until you reach the waterfront area. Once you see the marina, turn left and follow the waterfront promenade along the Ria Formosa Natural Park. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Rua L. Galvão. Turn right onto Rua L. Galvão, and you will find the Cabo de Santa Maria Lighthouse at the end of this street.

From Faro city center, catch the bus line 16 from the bus stop at Avenida da República (the main bus stop). Make sure to check the bus schedule for the next departure. The bus will take you towards the outskirts of Faro. Disembark at the stop closest to Ria Formosa Natural Park. From there, walk towards the park and follow the signs to the lighthouse, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.
