Getting There

• Public Transport

  From the center of Guimarães, head to the Guimarães bus station (Terminal Rodoviário de Guimarães). You can walk there in about 15 minutes from the historic center, heading along Rua de São Domingos until you reach Avenida de Portugal. Once at the bus station, look for a bus heading to Vieira do Minho. The bus journey usually takes around 30-40 minutes. When you arrive at Vieira do Minho, you will need to walk to Lamalonga - Aldeia de Portugal. It is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Head towards the main road (N103), then take the first right onto Rua da Aldeia de Lamalonga, following the signs until you reach the location.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk from the center of Guimarães, you can take a scenic route which takes about 2-3 hours. Start at the Praça de Santiago and head towards the Guimarães Castle, then follow the path through Parque da Cidade. Exit the park and head towards the N103 road, which will lead you towards Vieira do Minho. Make sure to follow the pedestrian paths along the road. Once you reach Vieira do Minho, navigate towards Rua da Aldeia de Lamalonga. This route offers beautiful views of the countryside.

• Bicycle

  For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike in Guimarães. Start at the central square and follow the bike paths towards Vieira do Minho via N103. The ride is approximately 12 km and will take about 40-50 minutes depending on your cycling speed. Once you arrive in Vieira do Minho, follow the same route as the public transport option, heading towards Rua da Aldeia de Lamalonga.
