Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Setúbal city center, make your way to Praça do Brasil. From there, head southeast on Rua da Liberdade until you reach Av. 22 de Dezembro. Turn left onto Av. 22 de Dezembro and walk until you reach the intersection with Rua do Cais. Take a right onto Rua do Cais and continue walking straight. You will eventually reach the waterfront. The Lapa de Santa Margarida is located a bit further down the coast. Keep walking along the waterfront, and after a short distance, you will find the entrance to the Lapa de Santa Margarida.

• Public Transport

  From Setúbal city center, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located at Praça do Brasil. Board bus number 10 towards Bairro do Liceu. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes and get off at the stop named 'Cais do Sodré'. From there, head south towards the waterfront. Follow the coastal path and walk until you reach Lapa de Santa Margarida. It should take you approximately 10 minutes on foot from the bus stop.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can easily catch a taxi from anywhere in Setúbal. Simply tell the driver to take you to 'Lapa de Santa Margarida.' The ride will take around 10 minutes depending on traffic. It's a very straightforward trip, and the drivers are generally familiar with the location.
