From the center of Sintra, walk to Sintra train station. Once there, take a train towards Cascais. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Caxias' station. After exiting the train, head towards the main road, Estrada Marginal, and turn right. Continue walking along Estrada Marginal until you reach Estr. Gibalta. Turn left onto Estr. Gibalta and Quinta Real de Caxias will be ahead on your right.

From Sintra, head to the bus stop at the Sintra Centro. Take bus number 403 towards Oeiras and get off at the 'Caxias' stop. After you disembark, walk towards Estrada Marginal and turn left. Walk along the road until you reach Estr. Gibalta. Turn left onto Estr. Gibalta and Quinta Real de Caxias will be ahead on your right.

If you are feeling adventurous, you can walk from the center of Sintra to Quinta Real de Caxias. Start from the Sintra center and head down towards the Sintra train station. Follow the signs directing you towards Caxias or the coastline. The walk is about 6 kilometers and should take around 1 hour and 30 minutes. It's a scenic route, but be prepared for some hills.
