Getting There

• Walking

  Start at the Tomar train station. Exit the station and head southeast towards Av. Dr. João R. de Oliveira. Turn left onto Av. Dr. João R. de Oliveira and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Av. 1º de Maio. Continue walking along this road, passing by shops and cafes. After about 10 minutes, you will reach a small bridge over the Rio Nabão. Cross the bridge, and you will see Jardim e Parque De Merendas on your left, along the riverbank. The park is a lovely green space perfect for relaxation.

• Bus

  If you prefer to take a bus, head to the Tomar bus station located near the train station. Check the local bus routes and take a bus heading towards the 'Centro' or 'Rio Nabão' direction. Get off at the stop nearest to the riverside park area. From there, walk towards the river, and you will find Jardim e Parque De Merendas along the riverbank. This option may take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on the bus schedule.

• Bicycle

  For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Tomar. Start at Praça da República, and cycle down Av. 1º de Maio. Follow the road until you reach the riverbank. Once you are along the river, continue cycling until you see Jardim e Parque De Merendas on your left. The ride should take about 15 minutes, offering a pleasant view of the river and surrounding nature.
