If you are in the city center of Vila Real, start at Praça do Município. From the square, head north on Rua da Liberdade. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida de João de Araújo. Turn left onto Avenida de João de Araújo and walk until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rua de Cândido dos Reis. Follow this road until you see the entrance to Parque Florestal on your left. The park is well-signposted.

From the central bus station (Terminal Rodoviário de Vila Real), board bus number 3 towards 'Parque Florestal'. The bus will take you directly to the park entrance. The journey takes approximately 10-15 minutes. Make sure to listen for the announcement of stops, as the park entrance is a popular destination.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Vila Real. Start at the city center and head towards Avenida de João de Araújo.
