From any point in Carolina, head to the nearest bus stop that services the AMA (Autoridad Metropolitana de Autobuses) buses. Look for the bus routes that head towards San Juan. Board the bus that indicates it will take you to San Juan Antiguo. The bus ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Once you reach San Juan, ask the driver to let you off at the stop closest to Calle O'Neill. From there, walk east for about 5 minutes along Calle O'Neill until you see the Iglesia de San José on your left at number 197.

Follow this avenue until you reach the bus terminal. From the terminal, you can catch a bus heading to San Juan as described above. Once you arrive in San Juan, it's a 15-minute walk to Iglesia de San José by heading east on Avenida Ponce de León, then turning left onto Calle O'Neill.
