Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the San Juan National Historic Site, head northeast on Calle Norzagaray toward Calle San José. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle San José, then turn right. Follow this street for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Avenida de la Constitución. Turn left onto Avenida de la Constitución and walk straight until you reach Calle San Francisco. Turn right and continue walking until you reach Calle Domingo Faustino Sarmiento. Turn left, and you will see Casa Natal de Sarmiento at 21 Domingo Faustino Sarmiento Sur.

• Public Transport

  From the Plaza de Armas, take the public bus C-3 towards Santurce. Once onboard, ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop for Avenida de la Constitución. After getting off, walk straight along Avenida de la Constitución for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Calle San Francisco. Turn right onto Calle San Francisco, and then turn left onto Calle Domingo Faustino Sarmiento. Casa Natal de Sarmiento will be at number 21.
