If you are in Old San Juan, start at the Plaza de Armas, the main square. Head south toward Calle San Francisco. Follow Calle San Francisco until you reach the intersection with Calle Tetuán. Turn left onto Calle Tetuán. Walk straight for about two blocks. Bastión de las Palmas de San José will be on your left at 100 C. Tetuán.

From the San Juan Bus Terminal, take the bus number 5 towards Old San Juan. Get off at the stop near Plaza de Armas. Once you disembark, walk south on Calle San Francisco, then turn left onto Calle Tetuán. Continue for two blocks and you will find Bastión de las Palmas de San José on your left.
