From Beavertail State Park, head north on Beavertail Rd toward Fort Wetherill Rd. Continue on Beavertail Rd until you reach the intersection with Jamestown Rd (RI-138). Turn left onto Jamestown Rd and continue for about 3.5 miles. Merge onto US-1 S and follow the signs for Newport. After approximately 7 miles, take exit 1 for Thames St. Continue on Thames St, then turn left onto Bellevue Ave. The Redwood Library and Athenaeum will be on your right at 50 Bellevue Ave.

From Beavertail State Park, walk to the nearest bus stop on Jamestown Rd. You will need to catch the RIPTA Route 14 bus towards Newport.
