Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, begin your journey from any point in Narragansett Beach. Head towards Route 1 South, following signs for Narragansett. Continue on Route 1 for approximately 3 miles. Take the exit for Galilee and follow the signs that direct you towards Sand Hill Cove State Beach. You'll eventually reach Sand Hill Cove Road. The beach is located at the end of this road. Keep in mind that parking is available, and there may be a fee during peak season, typically around $10 for the day.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, check the local bus service, RIPTA, which operates in the area. You can catch the 14 bus route from various locations in Narragansett Beach. Ensure you board the bus heading towards Galilee. The bus will take you close to Sand Hill Cove State Beach. Once you get off at the Galilee stop, it's a short walk (about 0.5 miles) down Sand Hill Cove Road to reach the beach. The bus fare is approximately $2 per ride.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous, biking is a great way to enjoy the scenic views as you make your way to Sand Hill Cove State Beach. From Narragansett Beach, take the bike paths leading to Route 1 South. Pedal along the designated bike lanes and follow the same route as the cars towards Galilee. The ride is about 3 miles and should take about 20-30 minutes, depending on your speed. There are bike racks available at the beach for you to secure your bike while you enjoy your time by the water.
