If you're traveling by car, start by heading to Narragansett. From the center of Newport, take US-1 South. Continue on US-1 for approximately 12 miles until you reach the exit for RI-108 towards Narragansett. Merge onto RI-108 and follow it until you reach the intersection with Ocean Road. Turn right onto Ocean Road. Point Judith Lighthouse will be located at 1470 Ocean Rd, Narragansett, RI 02882, on your left after about 3 miles. There is ample parking available, but it may require a small fee during peak season.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, begin your journey at the Newport Gateway Center which serves as the main bus terminal in Newport. Take the RIPTA Route 67 bus towards Narragansett. The bus will take about 40 minutes to reach Narragansett. Once you arrive at the Narragansett Pier, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles along Ocean Road to reach Point Judith Lighthouse. The scenic walk is along the coast, offering beautiful views. Make sure to check the RIPTA schedule as bus services may vary, especially on weekends and holidays.
Bike
If you're feeling adventurous, biking to Point Judith Lighthouse is a great option. From Newport, take the East Bay Bike Path southward until you reach the intersection with US-1. Follow US-1 South to RI-108, then turn right onto Ocean Road. The total distance from Newport to the lighthouse is about 14 miles. Be sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic regulations. There may be limited bike parking near the lighthouse.
