If you are driving, head to Newport County and use a GPS or map application to enter the address: 193 Vernon Ave, Middletown, RI 02842. From downtown Newport, take Route 138 West and merge onto US-1 South. Continue for about 3 miles and take the exit towards RI-214/Middletown. Turn left onto RI-214 and then right onto Vernon Ave. Green End Fort will be on your right. Free parking is available on the street.

For those using public transportation, take the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus service. You can catch the #60 bus from downtown Newport, which travels to Middletown. Make sure to check the schedule for the bus times. After about 25 minutes, get off at the stop closest to Vernon Ave. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to Green End Fort. Head east on RI-214 (Middletown Ave), turn right onto Vernon Ave, and the fort will be on your right. Note that a bus fare of $2.00 will be required.
