To get to Washington Square in Newport, start by finding the nearest RIPTA (Rhode Island Public Transit Authority) bus stop in Pawtucket. Board the Route 60 bus towards Newport. The bus ride will take about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Newport Gateway Center, transfer to the Route 67 bus towards 'Newport - Washington Square'. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the 'Washington Square' stop. Walk a short distance to reach the Old Colony House, which is located directly in Washington Square.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in Pawtucket. Head towards the East Bay Bike Path and follow it south towards Newport. The ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon reaching Newport, continue on the bike path until you reach Washington Square. The Old Colony House is located in the center of the square, making it easy to spot.

If you're feeling adventurous and want to explore, you can walk to Washington Square. Start at the Pawtucket train station and head south on Main Street. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with the East Avenue. Take a left and walk straight to the Newport City line. From there, follow the signs leading to Newport downtown. It’s about a 5-mile walk, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. As you enter Newport, keep walking until you reach Washington Square, where the Old Colony House is located.
