The Majestic Lions' Obelisk of Iași

Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Iași. Head southeast on Bulevardul Ștefan cel Mare towards Bulevardul Carol I. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Bulevardul Carol I. Turn left onto Bulevardul Carol I and follow the road for about 1.5 kilometers. The Lions' Obelisk is located in Parcul Copou at the address Bulevardul Carol I nr. 31. There is parking available near the park, but be mindful of any parking fees that may apply.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can take bus line 28 or 41 from the city center. Board the bus at the main bus station (Autogara Iași) or any stop along the route. Make sure to get off at the 'Copou' stop. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to the Lions' Obelisk. Head east along Bulevardul Carol I, and the obelisk will be in Parcul Copou on your right. A single ticket costs approximately 2.5 RON and can be purchased from kiosks or directly on the bus.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi. You can easily hail a taxi in the city center or use a ride-hailing app. The ride from central Iași to the Lions' Obelisk should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic and will cost approximately 15-25 RON.   If you are staying nearby, walking to the Lions' Obelisk can be a pleasant option. From the city center, head southeast on Bulevardul Ștefan cel Mare, then make a left onto Bulevardul Carol I. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach Parcul Copou. The obelisk is located within the park. This walk should take you around 20-30 minutes.
