Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from Baia Mare, the largest city in Maramureș. Head southeast on DN1C towards Târgu Lăpuș. After about 30 km, take the exit toward DJ184. Follow DJ184 for approximately 20 km until you reach the village of Repedea. Once in Repedea, look for signs directing you to Cascada Repedea, which is located nearby. There is a small parking area available close to the waterfall.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Cascada Repedea via public transportation, you can take a train or bus from Baia Mare to Târgu Lăpuș. Buses run frequently and the journey takes around 30 minutes. From Târgu Lăpuș, you can take a local bus heading towards Repedea. The bus ride should take about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at the bus stop in Repedea, look for signage directing you to the waterfall, which is a short walk from the main road. Be sure to check the local bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited, especially on weekends.

• Walking

  If you are already in Repedea, the Cascada Repedea is accessible by a short walk. From the center of the village, follow the signs towards the waterfall. The trail is well-marked and takes approximately 15-20 minutes on foot. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the path may be uneven in certain areas.
