Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the town of Baia Mare. Head southeast on DN1C towards Sighetu Marmației. Continue on DN18 until you reach the village of Bârsana. From Bârsana, take the DJ186 road towards the village of Șișești. Follow the signs towards Cascada Șipot. The waterfall is located approximately 15 km from Bârsana. Parking is available near the entrance but be prepared to walk a short distance to reach the waterfall itself.
Public Transportation
From Baia Mare, you can take a bus to Sighetu Marmației. Once in Sighetu Marmației, transfer to a local bus that goes to Bârsana. In Bârsana, you will need to take a taxi or arrange for a local transport service to reach Cascada Șipot, as public transport options may be limited. The taxi ride from Bârsana to the waterfall is about 15 km and should cost around 50-70 RON. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
