Getting There

• Car

  From Retezat National Park, take the DN66 road towards Hateg. Continue on DN66 for approximately 30 kilometers. When you reach the Hateg town, follow the signs for Densuș. Turn onto the DJ687 road and continue for about 8 kilometers until you reach Densuș. The church will be located in the center of the village. There is no parking fee, but be sure to park respectfully in designated areas.

• Bus

  If you are using public transportation, take a bus from the nearest town or village within Retezat National Park to Hateg. There are regular buses running from towns like Uricani or Petrosani to Hateg. Once in Hateg, you can take a local bus or taxi to Densuș. The local bus may take you directly to Densuș, but it's advisable to check local schedules, as they can vary. Expect to pay a small fee for the bus ride, typically around 5-10 RON.

• Taxi

  For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Hateg to Densuș. Taxis are available from the bus station in Hateg, and the fare should be negotiated beforehand. The ride will take approximately 15 minutes and could cost around 30-50 RON depending on the time of day and the driver.

• Bicycle

  For the more adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Hateg and cycle to Densuș. The route is approximately 8 kilometers along DJ687. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay on the side of the road, as it may have traffic. Bicycle rentals can range from 20-50 RON per day.
