Look for signs directing you to Akagera Live Lodge. The lodge is located near Akagera Road in Kayonza, approximately 7 km from the park entrance. Ensure you have your park entry fees ready, which are typically around $30 per person for non-residents.

To reach Akagera Live Lodge via public transport, take a bus from Kigali to Kayonza. The journey should take about 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Kayonza, you can hire a motorcycle taxi (boda boda) or take a local taxi to Akagera Live Lodge, which is approximately 15 km away. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey; it should cost around RWF 3000 to RWF 5000.
