If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards the town of Kibuye, which is located on the shores of Lake Kivu. From Kibuye, take the road towards the town of Gisenyi. Drive approximately 30 km north until you reach the sign for Kamiranzovu Swamp. Follow the signs leading to Colline Ibanda. The swamp is located at G47X+H7P, Colline Ibanda. Ensure you have a map or GPS device, as some roads may not be well-marked.

To reach Kamiranzovu Swamp using public transport, take a bus from Kibuye to Gisenyi. The bus station is located near the center of Kibuye. Buses run frequently throughout the day, and the journey should take around 1.5 hours. Upon arriving in Gisenyi, you will need to hire a motorcycle taxi (known as a 'moto') to take you to Colline Ibanda. The ride should cost around 2,000 Rwandan Francs (approximately $2). Inform the driver to take you to G47X+H7P, Colline Ibanda, where the swamp is located.
