Getting there

Walking

Starting from the Muhanga bus station, exit the station and head towards the main road (Akeza Rd). Walk south on Akeza Rd for about 500 meters until you reach the junction with the Rulindo-Muhanga road. Turn left at the junction and continue walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by local shops and small cafes along the way. After 1.5 kilometers, look for a sign indicating Mbuye Hill, which will guide you to a smaller path on your right.

Walking

Once you turn onto the smaller path towards Mbuye Hill, continue walking uphill for about 800 meters. The path may be uneven, so be cautious. You will start to notice beautiful views of the surrounding hills. Follow the path until you reach a viewpoint area where you can rest and enjoy the scenery.

Walking

From the viewpoint, continue along the path leading further up the hill. This part of the trek is steeper, so take your time. After approximately 400 meters, you will arrive at the summit of Mbuye Hill - Colline Mbuye. Here, you can explore the area and take in the panoramic views of Ruhango and the surrounding region.
