Getting There

    From the center of Muhanga, head north on Avenue de la Révolution towards Rue de l’Indépendance. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the main junction with the highway (RN1). At the junction, take a left onto the RN1 and follow the road for approximately 22 km. You will pass through beautiful scenery and local villages along the way. After about 22 km, you will see signs for Kibuye. Follow the signs until you arrive at the Museum of Environment located in Kibuye.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Muhanga. Start your journey by cycling north on Avenue de la Révolution towards Rue de l’Indépendance. After about 1 km, turn left onto the RN1 highway. The cycling route is very scenic, and you will experience the local culture as you pass through various small towns and picturesque landscapes. Continue cycling for about 22 km until you reach Kibuye. Look for the signs directing you to the Museum of Environment once you enter Kibuye.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    Head to the local bus station in the center of Muhanga. Look for buses heading to Kibuye. The bus ride takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Make sure to inform the bus conductor that you are going to Kibuye. Once you arrive in Kibuye, you can ask locals for directions to the Museum of Environment, which is a well-known attraction in the area. It is usually within walking distance from the bus stop.
