Walking

Start at the center of Ruhengeri, near the main bus station. Head southwest on Avenue de la Paix until you reach the intersection with Avenue Nyabugogo. Turn left onto Avenue Nyabugogo and continue straight for about 1 kilometer. You will pass by several local shops and eateries along the way. Keep an eye out for signs directing towards Lake Ruhondo. After 1 kilometer, you will see a sign pointing to the Boating Pier. Follow the path leading to the pier, which should be visible as you approach the lake.

Bicycle

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Ruhengeri. From the rental location, head towards Avenue de la Paix and ride southwest. Continue straight through the intersection with Avenue Nyabugogo, maintaining a steady pace. After about 1 kilometer, you will notice a sign directing you towards Lake Ruhondo. Follow this sign, which will lead you to a dirt road heading towards the Boating Pier. Be cautious of the terrain as you approach the pier area.

Motorbike Taxi (Moto)

Find a motorbike taxi (moto) at a designated taxi stand in Ruhengeri. Inform the driver that you want to go to Boating Pier, located at GP9Q+XH, Ruhondo. The driver will take you along Avenue de la Paix and Avenue Nyabugogo, navigating towards the lake. The journey should take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Upon arrival, the driver will drop you off near the entrance to the pier.
