Walking
From the Nyamata town center, head southeast towards the main road (RN3). Walk along the road until you reach the junction with the Kigali highway. The Campaign Against Genocide Museum is located on RN3, so keep walking straight. It’s approximately a 30-minute walk. Look for the sign indicating the museum on your left.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from Nyamata town center and cycle southeast towards RN3. Once you reach the main road, ride along RN3 heading towards Kigali. The museum will be on your left-hand side. It should take about 15-20 minutes to reach your destination.
Motorcycle Taxi (Boda Boda)
You can hire a motorcycle taxi, known as a Boda Boda, from anywhere in Nyamata. Just tell the driver you want to go to the Campaign Against Genocide Museum on RN3. The ride will take about 10 minutes depending on traffic.
Public Transportation
Take a local bus or minibus heading towards Kigali from Nyamata. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at the stop for RN3, near the Campaign Against Genocide Museum. The journey will take around 20-30 minutes. Once you get off, walk back a short distance on RN3 to find the museum.
