Walking
Start at Independence Square in the center of Basseterre. Head southeast towards Fort Street, which is the main street. Continue straight until you reach the junction at the traffic lights. At the traffic lights, turn left onto Cayon Street. Walk along Cayon Street until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the island's main road, which is known as the Circus. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers, passing through local shops and cafes on your way. Keep an eye out for local signage and ask for directions if needed. Eventually, you will reach a fork in the road; stay to the right and follow the signs towards Shitten Bay. After about 20 minutes of walking from the roundabout, you will see a small path leading to Shitten Bay Trailhead on your right, marked by a wooden sign.

From Basseterre, head to the local bus terminal located near the Circus. Board any bus heading towards Cayon. Inform the driver you want to go to Shitten Bay. The bus will take you along the main road, and you should get off at the stop near the fork in the road leading to Shitten Bay. From there, continue on foot for about a 10 to 15-minute walk down the path to reach the Shitten Bay Trailhead.
