Walking
From Cotton Ground, head northeast towards the main road. Once you reach the main road (also known as the Island Main Road), turn left and continue walking. You will pass by a few local shops and restaurants. Stay on this road for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the outskirts of Basseterre. As you approach Basseterre, you will notice the area becoming more urban. Continue walking straight until you reach the traffic lights at the entrance of Basseterre. At the traffic lights, turn right onto St. Kitts Avenue. Continue straight along St. Kitts Avenue, and you will see Independence Square on your left after a few blocks. The square is a historical park and a great place to relax.

Public Transport (Bus)
Start from Cotton Ground and walk to the nearest bus stop on the Island Main Road. Look for a bus heading towards Basseterre (usually labeled with a sign indicating Basseterre as the destination).
