Continue straight on this road until you reach the junction that leads to the village of Canaries. At this junction, instead of turning, keep going straight. The road will begin to incline and take you up towards the surrounding hills. Follow this road until you reach a fork. Take the left path, which is less traveled but leads towards Mt Fortune. Keep an eye out for the signs that direct you towards the mountain. The walk will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Hiking
If you are feeling adventurous and want to hike directly to Mt Fortune, start from Anse la Raye and make your way to the nearby trailhead located near the last row of houses at the outskirts of the village.
