    Getting There

    Walking

    Start at the main square in Borgo Maggiore, Piazza della Libertà. Head northeast on Via della Libertà until you reach the intersection with Via delle Scuole. Turn left onto Via delle Scuole and continue straight. Follow the signs towards Città di San Marino. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will arrive at the base of the mountain. At this point, you can either take the funicular railway to the top or continue on foot. If you choose the funicular, it is located at the end of Via della Libertà. The funicular will take you to the top where you can start your ascent to Guaita Tower. If walking, take the path leading up the hill, which is steep but well-marked. Follow the path for approximately 20-30 minutes until you see the Guaita Tower on your left, situated on the summit of Mount Titano.

    From the main square in Borgo Maggiore, Piazza della Libertà, walk towards Via della Libertà and follow it to the end. You will see the entrance to the funicular railway on your right. Purchase a ticket at the ticket booth and board the funicular. The ride will take you directly to the top of Mount Titano. Once you arrive at the top station, exit and follow the signs pointing towards Guaita Tower. It is a short 10-minute walk from the funicular station to Guaita Tower, where you will enjoy breathtaking views of San Marino and the surrounding landscape.
