From the center of Port Glaud, head towards the main road, which is the Anse La Mouche Road (also known as the coastal road). Walk east along this road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Bel Ombre Road. This area is well-marked, and you should see several local shops and the Port Glaud market along the way. Continue walking, and you will pass by the beautiful coastal views of the Anse La Mouche beach on your left.

At the junction with Bel Ombre Road, turn left and continue walking uphill along this road for approximately 3 kilometers. You may encounter some steep sections, so be prepared for a bit of a workout. Look out for signs indicating the direction to Mare Aux Cochons Trail. As you walk, enjoy the lush greenery and the natural beauty of the area.

After about 3 kilometers on Bel Ombre Road, you will reach the intersection leading to the Mare Aux Cochons Trail. Turn right onto a smaller path that leads directly to the trailhead. The path may be less maintained, but it is clearly marked. Follow this path for a short distance until you arrive at Dan Bernard Junction, which is the starting point of the Mare Aux Cochons Trail.
