Walking
If you are starting from the central market of Victoria, head south on Market Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Francis Rachel Street. Turn left onto Francis Rachel Street and walk until you reach the roundabout. From the roundabout, take the first exit onto the road leading to the coast. Continue walking along the waterfront until you see the signs for Fort Matthew. The fort is located on a hill and you will need to walk uphill for about 10 minutes to reach the entrance.
Public Bus
From the Victoria bus terminal, take a bus heading towards St. George's. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off near Fort Matthew or the closest bus stop. The journey should take about 15-20 minutes. Once you get off, follow the signs towards Fort Matthew and walk uphill for about 10 minutes to reach the fort entrance.
Taxi
If you prefer a more comfortable option, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Victoria. Simply tell the driver you would like to go to Fort Matthew. The ride will take around 10 minutes, and the driver will drop you off right at the entrance. Be sure to agree on a fare before starting your journey.
