Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are at Marina Bay Sands, start by heading east towards the waterfront promenade. Walk along the promenade until you reach the Esplanade Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue walking straight until you reach the junction with Raffles Avenue. Turn left onto Raffles Avenue, and continue walking until you reach the junction with Beach Road. Turn right onto Beach Road and continue straight. Eventually, Beach Road will turn into North Bridge Road. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Victoria Street. Here, you will see the Bugis MRT Station on your left. You can stop here to take the MRT if you prefer.

  • MRT

    If you are at the Bugis MRT Station, take the Downtown Line (Blue Line) towards Bukit Panjang. Get off at the next station, which is Chinatown MRT Station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to the exit that leads to Pagoda Street. This exit will bring you directly onto Pagoda Street. From there, walk a short distance until you reach 34 Pagoda Street, where the Former Opium Den is located.

    If you are near the Merlion Park, start walking towards the Fullerton Hotel. From the Fullerton Hotel, head towards the Raffles Place MRT Station. Follow the signs to the MRT station and take the East West Line (Green Line) towards Pasir Ris. Get off at the next stop, which is Chinatown MRT Station. Exit the MRT station and follow the signs to Pagoda Street. Walk along Pagoda Street until you reach number 34, the location of the Former Opium Den.

    If you are at Marina Bay, look for bus stops nearby, such as the one at Marina Bay Sands. Take bus number 106 or 147 towards the city. Get off at the stop at North Bridge Road (after the junction with Victoria Street). From there, walk back towards Victoria Street and turn left. Follow Victoria Street until you reach the intersection with Pagoda Street. Turn right onto Pagoda Street, and walk until you reach number 34, the Former Opium Den.
