If you are at ION Orchard, exit the mall and head towards Orchard MRT Station. From there, take the North-South Line (Red Line) towards Marina South Pier. Alight at Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station, which is just two stops away. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to Bencoolen Street. Walk straight until you reach the junction with Victoria Street, then turn right. The National Library will be on your left at 100 Victoria St.

From Orchard Gateway, exit the building and walk towards Orchard Road. Head towards the intersection with Somerset Road. Cross the road and continue walking straight to Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station. From there, take the North-South Line (Red Line) to Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station, which is just one stop. Follow the signs to exit and walk towards Bencoolen Street. Turn right on Victoria Street and you'll see the National Library on your left.
