Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the city center (Hlavné námestie), walk towards the east along the pedestrian street, Obchodná ulica, until you reach the intersection with Karadžičova. Turn left and continue straight until you reach the end of Karadžičova, where it meets Gorkého. Continue straight up the hill on Gorkého street. As you ascend, you will see Bratislava Castle in the distance. Follow the path as it winds up, and soon you will reach the castle grounds.

    From the city center (e.g., from the tram stop at Hlavné námestie), take tram number 1 or 4 in the direction of 'Zimný štadión' or 'Karpaty'. Get off at the 'Hrad' stop, which is the closest stop to Bratislava Castle. After exiting the tram, follow the signs leading to the castle, which is just a short walk uphill.
