Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Dolina. Head northeast on the main road towards Martin. Follow the signs to Martin and continue for approximately 10 km. As you approach Martin, take the exit toward 'Ružomberok/Žilina' and merge onto the E58 road. Continue for about 2 km and take the exit for 'Martin - Múzeum Slovenské Dedin'. Follow the signs to the Museum of the Slovak Village, which will be on your right. There is a parking area available at the museum.

    If you prefer to use public transportation, you can take a bus from Dolina to Martin. Buses operate regularly, and you can catch one from the Dolina bus station. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Martin bus station, exit and walk towards the main road. From there, you can either catch a local bus (line number 1 or 2) that goes to the Museum of the Slovak Village or walk approximately 3 km. If walking, head southwest along the main road, following the signs until you reach the museum.
